All workshops were full day workshops (10:00 am-12:00 pm, then 1:30 pm-3:30 pm):

I. Effective Management of CHW and Promoters  

  • Presented by: Carl H. Rush, MRP, Principal, at Community Resources, LLC
  • Description: This workshop will provide an overview of the emerging field of Community Health Workers for mangers and supervisors.

II. Tools & Building Blocks for Change 

  • Presented by: Michael McCormack, Director of Practice, Harvard School of Public Health & Antonia Blinn, Program Director, Massachusetts Coalition of School-Based Health Centers
  • Description: An interactive session deepening leadership skills for CHWs

III. Personal Safety & Effective Outreach Strategy 

  • Presented by: Joaquin Rodriguez, NEON, Springfield & Brenda Lopez,
    Coordinator of Domestic Violence Prevention for the
    City of Springfield at the Police Department
  • Description: This session is dedicated to skill building around personal safety and effective outreach strategies.
