MACHW's 5th Annual Meeting

This year’s theme was CHWs in the New Age: Addressing Certification and Emerging Roles. Our keynote speaker was Jacqueline Scott, JD, ML. Ms. Scott joined us in 2006 to discuss various options for the credentialing of CHWs. She has assisted several states to develop and implement credentialing programs and shared her experience including successes and challenges. In addition to our keynote speaker there were breakout sessions focusing on the implementation of the Board of Certification and the developing statewide CHW policy coalition. The lunch plenary focused on emerging roles for CHWs.
